Fashion Scene - San Francisco

For 2012 academy of arts graduation party, the school brought some cool people to be their Guests of Honor! The line-up this year includes: Sarah Burton, creative Director of Alexander McQueen, Philip Treacy, milliner, who has collaborated with many of the top couture and ready-to-wear fashion houses including Giorgio Armani, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, Prabal Gurung, Gareth Pugh, Ralph Lauren, and Rifat Ozbek; and Her Royal Highness Princess Reema Bandar Al-Saud, president and CEO of the ALFA and AL HAMA luxury retail corporations which operate Harvey Nichols Department Stores, Donna Karan, and DKNY stores in Saudi Arabia. Also, the school invited other fashion insiders who have previously been guests of honor; in 2010, it was Suzy Menkes, OBE (Order of the British Empire), fashion editor of the International Herald Tribune, and 2011 Guest of Honor Cathy Horyn, fashion critic for The New York Times. The AA is also bringing this year Stephan Rabimov, editor-in-chief of Depesha magazine (www.depesha.com) and Jayne Seward, fashion editor of California Apparel.
